Cancer Genetics, ACPN Reach Agreement for Access to Cancer Dx Services
NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – Cancer Genetics today said that it has reached a deal with America’s Choice Provider Network to provide its 19 million members in the US access to Cancer Genetics’ cancer diagnostic services.
ACPN is an independent network of healthcare providers in the US that offers out-of-network solutions for more than 1,100 payors. Cancer Genetics Director of Reimbursement and Clinical Revenue Cycle Management Randy Goodman said that the deal allows his firm to deliver services to a larger number of patients who access ACPN’s provider network through their coverage with insurers such as Humana, Cigna, and Oxford Health Plan.
The company added that participation in provider networks such as ACPN is an integral element of its access and reimbursement strategy, which also includes partnerships and collaborations with cooperative oncology study groups, targeted relationships with payors, and health economic and validation studies with medical institutions.
