BIO
I am a sophomore at the University of Rochester looking to complete my bachelor’s degree in Data Science. I am concentrating in Computer Science and plan on gearing this degree towards machine learning techniques. So far, I have taken coursework with coding in time series forecasting with python, data structures and algorithms with java, and intermediate statistical methods with R. I also have taken mathematics coursework in Linear algebra, differential equations, probability, and mathematical statistics. Lastly, I am taking a class overviewing commonly used techniques in Data Science, including parallelization practices, data manipulation and visualization, basic machine learning algorithms, etc. Outside of class, I am doing research at the Rochester Medical Center’s department of immunology and computational biology. I develop molecular networks with python and execute pathway analysis frameworks to infer boolean rule sets from proteomics and transcriptomics data. After completing my bachelor’s degree, I currently plan to continue my Data Science education in graduate school.
