The product grouping consists of human aortic endothelial cells, aortic smooth muscle cells, preadipocytes and skeletal muscle isolated from patient donors affected with the disease.. In addition to high blood sugar 1 in 10 affected individuals encounter complications including high blood pressure, cholesterol, heart attack, stroke, blindness, kidney disease, pregnancy problems, amputation and in severe cases death. This model provides new primary cell based options for life sciences and pharmaceutical drug discovery. The company indicates that additional disease models can be generated on a custom service bases.
