2012 – 2013 TAVI Projects manager, Edwards Lifesciences (Israel) – Director, R&D
- Led the new generation TAVR – Trans-catheter Aortic Valve Replacement – projects.
- Led and coordinated the partnership and activities between Edwards US and Israel R&D: Up-stream Marketing needs analysis, lessons learned from clinical studies, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design Control process and other expertise.
2011 – 2012 Core Team Leader, Medtronic Ventor Technologies
(End of employment due to MDT decision to close the company in Israel)
Subsidiary of Medtronic, Inc. (NYSE: MDT) focused on developing trans-catheter heart valve devices
- Led multifunctional global team including R&D, marketing, clinical, quality assurance, and operations tasked to develop a novel, first to market trans-catheter mitral valve replacement product.
- Developed overall project plan including project strategy, in-vitro and in-vivo testing plans, R&D plan, and resource management (headcount and budget).
2007 – 2010 Head of the IDF Special Technical-Operations Unit – Lt. Col.
Leading 200 person organization, independently developing and manufacturing custom-designed multi-technological devices for Special Operations assignments under very tight time schedules. Development followed the very highest quality, reliability and safety standards.
- Identified and analyzed operational needs of potential customers, and presented solutions. Based on needs developed one-year and five-year strategic plans and executed according to plans.
- Managed directly and indirectly a work plan of 120 projects yearly. Based on urgency, budget and operational importance, chose to closely manage 15 projects.
- Initiated and executed strategic partnerships with other technological units within Israeli security forces.
- Led a diversified body of experts and departments including R&D, operation, production, procurement & out-sourcing, finance, training and human resources.
- Approved all developed devices before final operational approval.
