After studying, in depth, the graphic above, one can see a few interesting and very relevant points related to using social media for the purpose of increasing the value and the impact of real time conference coverage. The first point; look at the general shape of the top influencer’s network. These have differing degrees of what I would call spread in relation to the conference they are tweeting about. For Instance of course the conference Twitter handle @PHSInnovation #wmif19 has a very tight network during the conference but interestingly so does the handle @Aviva1950 at this conference. @Nvidia has a loose network as well as some other of the top influencers, which leads to a second observation on connections between influencers, the conference, and within their networks. In addition on this first point @Aviva1950 with @pharma_BI have four cluster of tight intranetworks. These intranetworks expand the ability of twitter reach to other nodes, increasing visibility for the conference. Within the handle there is evident smaller circles in @Aviva1950 as well as the conference @PHSInnovation. These sub networks are actively following Twitter handles which are responding and interacting IN REAL TIME during the conference with the influencer, not seen with @Nvidia for example. The use by a conference of such expansive yet tight following networks and subnetworks can portend into great value for any such conference which would include these type of influencer networks. Lastly one can notice the intranetworks, shown by the green lines connecting the conference handle and the other members in each network. The more connections the more influence the conference has on the community of interested parties, influencers networks, and over social media. @Aviva1950 as well as @pharma_BI shows not only multitude of these disparate connections outside of its network but also many connections with the conference handle within the clusters contained within the @Aviva1950 and @pharma_BI networks. This is not seen in any of the other influencers as I had noticed in previous meetings covered by LBPI and Dr. Lev-Ari: in essence that handles which may have big following due to association with for say a large company does not necessarily result in a big tweet reach but content of individual tweets are more important than the handle tweeted from, for instance a large company, unless that company (in this case LPBI) has developed a history of strong intranetworks and close association with the conference covered. In summary, the work LPBI has done in developing this realtime conference coverage METHODOLOGY adds great social media value to conferences in their ability to disseminate information of that conference to a wide INTERNET audience.
